Course content:
• Introduction to Close Quarter Survival (CQS)
• Safety applications in a complex environment
• Admin loads / set yourself up for success
• Setting a baseline
• Fundamentals of running the gun
• Accuracy applications
• Balance between speed & accuracy
• Front ready presentation
• Handgun presentation / getting the gun into the fight
• Follow through / Miss & Makeup
What to bring along:
• Minimum of 250 rounds per pistol, if possible bring 300.
• A sturdy belt with a inside or outside the waistband holster.
• Magazine pouch with at least one extra magazine for pistols. Try to bring a speed loader for revolvers.
• Completed Indemnity Form. This can also be supplied at the shooting range.
• Own food and drinks (Non-alcoholic). Please bring enough drinking water!
• EAR PROTECTION.
• EYE PROTECTION.
• NOTEBOOK (A5 size), PEN & PERMANENT MARKER.
• CHAIR.
• An open mind, and a whole lot of positive attitude!
Pre-range rules:
2) On arrival at the shooting range, do not handle or remove the firearm from the bag, box or holster.
3) Report to the range officer immediately on arrival at the range.
4) Fill in and sign the range register.
5) Ask the range officer for permission to unpack or handle firearms.
Suitable Dress:
• Baseball type cap.
• Comfortable shirt & pants.
• Jacket that can be zipped or buttoned open.
• Sturdy belt.
